MBA Online produced this graphic comparing the progress of Android with iOS. When you realize that there are almost as many people activating Android devices as eating Big Macs every day, it puts Android adoption into perspective.

Not sure they’re drawing the right conclusions from this data. The authors’ interpretation is that Android is taking a bite out of Apple’s market share. But these numbers don’t show any loss of numbers by Apple. It’s just as likely that Android is simply growing the market by selling cheaper devices to people who otherwise wouldn’t buy a smartphone.
